Geo Championships week is the national level competitions of the GeoBee and GeoChallenge, to be held May 19-22, 2019, at National Geographic Society Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Over 2.5 million students competed in the GeoBee this year. The 54 state champions are competing for college scholarships, prizes, and the glory of being named the National Geographic GeoBee Champion.
For the first time this year, GeoChallenge teams that won at the regional level will be competing at the national level for the grand prize of $25,000 plus support and guidance from National Geographic staff to implement their solution.
