The professional development opportunity of a lifetime

The Grosvenor Teacher Fellow (GTF) Program is a professional development opportunity for Pre-K-12 educators made possible by a partnership between Lindblad Expeditions and the National Geographic Society. An annual competitive application process is used to select educators and host them aboard Lindblad Expeditions’ voyages for a life-changing, field-based experience.

Grosvenor Teacher Fellows are an integral part of the National Geographic community, working to further students’ understanding of the planet and empower them to generate solutions for a healthier and more sustainable future. They help ensure that the next generation is armed with geographic knowledge and global awareness.

Certified Educators

2018 Grosvenor Teacher Fellows are required to be National Geographic Certified Educators. All applicants must complete Phase 1 of the certification program by the time they submit their application and, if selected, will be required to complete Phases 2 and 3 by March 2018.

By participating in the National Geographic Educator Certification Program, you join the Nat Geo family and gain access to a constantly increasing suite of Nat Geo programs, resources, and professional development opportunities. Many of our most exciting opportunities—like the Grosvenor Teacher Fellow Program—are exclusively open to the Educator Certification community.
