About this Event

National Geographic Explorer MIKE LIBECKI will take you on a cutting-edge visual adventure, the first of its kind, combining virtual reality (with Nat Geo–provided headsets), 3-D motion, 8K resolution video, and more! Journey with Mike and his 13-year-old daughter, Lilliana, to Everest Base Camp in Nepal for humanitarian work. Go on a solo first-ascent climbing expedition with Mike in Greenland and get up close to polar bears. Immerse yourself in the world of whales and penguins in Antarctica. Adventure in Peru and head deep into the jungle of French Polynesia. Then, learn more about the exciting technologies that made this experience possible with Spaces VR and Dell.

Mike Libecki

National Geographic Explorer and 2013 Adventurer of the Year Mike Libecki can define his life in two ways: Following his obsession with exploring the world’s most remote corners of the planet to find and rock climb first ascents (the first documented climbs to the top of a mountain), and being a dedicated father to his daughter, who accompanies him on many of his adventures. He has completed more than 70 major expeditions all over the world with a goal of completing 100—from Afghanistan to Antarctica to Greenland to Guyana, and everywhere in between.
