What is plastic? Where does it come from? And where does it go when we’re done using it? Join Explorer Agustina Besada to think about how to “Unplastify your world.”
Agustina is a sustainability entrepreneur and advocate of plastic pollution prevention. She crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a 36-foot sailboat twice to research ocean plastics and to study international scalable solutions. She transformed this adventure into action by co-founding Unplastify, a social enterprise on a mission to change the human relationship with plastic and accelerate systemic changes to avoid single-use-plastic. Based in Latin America, Unplastify works on educational programs with youth, transformative projects with companies, and advocacy for new public policies with governments.
Agustina also works to promote responsible production systems, resource efficiency and circular economy. Students ages 4-8 can join her to hear about her adventures, learn about plastics, and discover how small changes in their daily lives can help build a more sustainable future.
