About this Event

Self proclaimed “nerd of all things flying fox,” Susan Tsang studies the evolution and distribution of flying fox (Pteropus) species around the world. She works to protect flying foxes by combating wildlife trafficking, supporting local conservation efforts, and contributing to the IUCN’s Old World Fruit Bat Action Plan.

Through this Explorer Classroom event, students ages 9-14 can connect with Susan live to learn about what makes these megabats so special, understand the pressures humans have put on these vulnerable species, and ask their questions!
