Explorers at Work: Asha De Vos

Explorers at Work: Asha De Vos

National Geographic Explorer, marine biologist and ocean educator Asha de Vos pioneers long-term blue whale research in the Indian Ocean. Sri Lankan born, she has encountered many over the years who have found her to be too young and too female in a traditionally male dominated field. Despite this she has carved her own niche and these days, what keeps Asha going is the question that many in the field are also facing: how do we coexist with the rest of Earth’s species?
