Using the latest in LiDAR mapping technology, Geographer Alex Tait maps Mount Everest basecamp down to the centimeter—and this is only one of the techniques he employs. Through photogrammetry, high elevation helicopter data, and VR animation, Alex's team creates a precise record of the Khumbu glacier, so the world can track the effects of climate change.
