Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Resources

National Geographic resources support the teaching of geographic thinking, science, culture, mapping, exploration, and storytelling. This collection contains resources to provide learners with background knowledge as they explore issues related to justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Topics include: cultural identity and diversity; increasing diversity in the geographic and scientific professions; boundary crossings in science, immigration, genetics; linguistic diversity, mapmaking, and others.

For resources to support more specific discussions about race, racism, or anti-racism, we recommend the web portal at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture.
