It’s estimated that between 500 and 1,000 of the 35,000 ships that transported captive Africans across the Atlantic Ocean for the slave trade, wrecked. Only five of those wrecks have been found so far. Meet Explorer Tara Roberts, a storyteller on a mission to find, document, and share the stories of these wrecks by working closely with communities and underwater archaeologists.
