Gobies like this one live in burrows with prawns. Prawns dig the burrows, but their poor eyesight still makes them vulnerable to predators. Movement from the goby alerts the prawn to retreat to the burrow. The prawn gains protection, while the gobies gain a safe place to lay their eggs.
