Long Lake is the highest, largest, and deepest lake in Jiuzhaigou Valley, a UNESCO biosphere preserve in southern China. Jiuzhaigou Valley is part of the Minshan Mountains, a transition zone between the Sichuan Basin and the Qinghai-Tibet plateau.
