Trucks like this one are "poetry in motion" throughout Afghanistan. The trucks are often emblazoned with landays, a type of folk poetry native to Pashto regions of Central Asia. Landays are political, romantic, angry, and heartbroken—often all at once. "I am chasing you like a drone/You have become al Qaida/there’s no trace of you."
