Each spring, the National Geographic Education Foundation and its Network of Alliances for Geographic Education meet with members of Congress and their staff to advocate for geography education and the Teaching Geography is Fundamental Act. This important effort ensures that our Legislators hear directly from their constituents.

If you are visiting Washington, D.C., you can schedule meetings with your Senators and Representative to discuss the importance of geography education. Most members of Congress have a form on their websites to schedule meetings with them. Go to house.gov and senate.gov to find the websites for members of Congress.
