Named for one the first editors of National Geographic magazine, the Grosvenor Council is a group of unwavering supporters who have partnered with the Society to ensure a lasting impact on the world. Grosvenor Council members generously support the National Geographic Society’s work at the cutting edge of science, exploration, education, and storytelling.

As a global nonprofit, the Society has been committed to exploring and protecting the planet since 1888. With an annual gift of $1,000 or more, Grosvenor Council members make this possible—and play a leading role in making a tremendous impact on some of the most extraordinary science and exploration taking place today.
