Exploring the Okavango Delta

The mission of the Okavango Wilderness Project is to explore and protect the Okavango Delta and its vast untouched wetlands. This team of Bayei ("River") Bushmen, scientists, data artists, writers, photographers, bloggers, naturalists, and conservation engineers are taking the very pulse of Africa’s last remaining wetland wilderness. The project will be featured in a film documenting the full story of the river, beginning at its headwaters and tributaries in Angola, following its path through the eyes and adventures of the team as they pole and drag their canoes more than a thousand miles to the Okavango Delta itself, dodging hippos and elephants and coming together to protect one of Earth's last true wildernesses.
