Keiron Fraser is an Associate Professor in Marine Conservation at the University of Plymouth, the Academic Lead for the Marine Station and the University Diving Officer. His research interests lie in protein metabolism and growth in marine organisms, seasonality, seagrass ecology and the conservation of marine habitats. He currently heads up one of the largest scientific diver training programmes in Europe and has 25 years experience as a professional diver and operational manager. Keiron worked for the British Antarctic Survey for 10 years as a marine eco-physiologist and Winter Base Commander working extensively on the ice and on-board ships, in both the Antarctic and Arctic. He then spent 6 years working for the Government of South Georgia based on both South Georgia and the Falkland Islands where he finished the role as Operations Manager. Fraser joined his first Pristine Seas expedition in 2021 and led his first Expedition for Pristine Seas to Colombia in 2022.
