Jenelle Eli leads communications strategy for Pristine Seas. Alongside the Public Affairs team, she raises awareness about the value of ocean protection and the benefits of preserving the most vital places on earth. Prior to joining National Geographic, Eli was head of media relations for both the American Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). She has more than a decade of experience deploying to disaster zones, advocating on behalf of refugees, and serving as a spokesperson for global crises. Eli has a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Ohio University.
