Kevin J. Maroni

Kevin Maroni is the Managing Partner of Maxply Capital Management, LLC, a partnership focused on long term investments in both private and public companies working to solve important problems and build innovation.
Previously, Mr. Maroni served as a Senior Managing Director at Spectrum Equity, where he was a founding principal at its inception in 1994. Spectrum is a leading private equity firm specializing in growth capital for innovative software and information services companies. The firm is now investing its 10th fund from offices in San Francisco, Boston and London. Previously, Mr. Maroni worked at Time Warner and Harvard Management Company.
Mr. Maroni became a board member of National Geographic Partners in 2016 and a trustee of the National Geographic Society in 2019. He has chaired the Strategy Committee and the Finance Committee of the Board.
Mr. Maroni is a member of the President’s Board of Advisors at Massachusetts General Brigham hospital, where he served on the executive committee of the most recent $4 billion capital campaign and was chair of the MGH Fund Leadership Council. He was formerly a trustee of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation (where he served on the executive committee and as treasurer); vice chair of the HBS Fund at the Harvard Business School; a trustee of the University of Virginia College Foundation; a trustee of Noble and Greenough School; and a trustee of the Park School, where he was board chair.
Mr. Maroni has a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard University.
